Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立陽明大學 === 臨床暨社區護理研究所 === 96 === The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of touch therapy to the Childbirth Self-efficacy and the perception of pain in pregnant women. This research adopted the Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) design. Purposive sampling was used to select 60 primiparas as samples.Date was collected data with the structure questionnaire which was divided into four sections including basic personal information, McGill Pain Questionnaire, Visual Analogue Scale and Childbirth Self-efficacy scale. The experimental group administered the touch therapy during the first stage and second stage during labor and delivery totaling to four times and 30 minutes for each time; the comparison group was received the hospital routine care. The results and data were statistically analyzed using the t-test, ANOVA, paired t-test, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, MANOVA ,ANCOVA and etc. Our research results showed that the experimental group had a higher post-test of the Childbirth Self-efficacy score compared to their pre-test score in the paired t-test analysis. Besides, the experimental group also had an average lower score in the post-test perception of pain compared to the pre-test. In contrast, we further analyzed the comparison group with ANOVA. We controlled the variables for pre-test and analyzed the differences between these two groups. Our results showed that for the experimental group, the adjusted mean of the Childbirth Self-efficacy score was higher during post-test compared to the score during pre-test. Additionally, the post-test score was lower than the pre-test score in the perception of pain. However, the comparison group had opposite results. There were statistically significant differences in these two groups for their scores for the Childbirth Self-efficacy scale and the perception of pain. However, the only test which these two groups did not show statistical difference was the emotional pain during the transitory stage. This research can provide a reference for the clinical nurses to develop their independent role functions. Thus clinical nurses can assist the pregnant women to reduce their uterine contraction pain and increase self-confident in pregnant women during labor.
