Summary:碩士 === 育達商業技術學院 === 企業管理所 === 97 === The study primarily aimed to examine the relations between the learning attitude and the academic achievement of new Taiwanese elementary students from the third grade to the sixth grade in Miaoli County. Two hundred forty six new Taiwanese students participated in the research. 246 questionnaires were collected in the study but only 235 were valid. Findings were as the following: 1. New Taiwanese students showed average level on learning attitude. The Chinese scores of New Taiwanese students are higher than math scores. 2. The Chinese proficiency level, learning confidence, and habits of mothers of the new Taiwanese students were significantly correlated to the Chinese and math scores of new Taiwanese students. 3. There were significantly correlations among mother’s education background, learning methods, Chinese performance, and math performance of new Taiwanese children. 4. There were significantly correlations among family environment, learning motivations, Chinese performance and math performance of new Taiwanese children. 5. Teachers’ experiences with or without teaching new Taiwanese children would not affect the learning interests and habits of new Taiwanese students. 6. Teachers with multi-culture will affect the development of learning interests and habits of new Taiwanese children. 7. There were significantly correlations among learning attitude, Chinese performance and math performance of new Taiwanese children.
