Description
Summary:碩士 === 台南科技大學 === 生活應用科學研究所 === 96 === With the coming of the knowledge-based economy, the change of industrial structure, and the increasing establishment of universities, the trend and the opportunity of entering university are also on the increase. To meet the requirement of this current trend of the society, I put the focus of this study on the factors of senior high school students’ willingness to enter university and the relation between factors. The subjects are the graduates from home economics section in vocational senior high school in Taiwan in 2006. The analysis is based on the questionnaires collected. The students’ conditions are described by descriptive statistics, in which T test, the single factor variation count analysis (One-Way ANOVA) and Scheffe’s theory of multiple comparison are examined to see the relativity between students’ backgrounds, like “personal factor,” “family factor,” “school factor,” and “social fator,” and their willingness to enter university. Spearman’s theory is also used to analyze the relativity. The variables of students’ desire to enter university, the decision to take college entrance exams and which college entrance exams they plan to take are analyzed by X2. Among the 640 questionnaires, 583 of them are valid. The following results are based on the analysis of the data collected. 1.The subjects are mainly female. Their academic records are mostly above 70 points. Most of them live in non-metropolis areas. Most of their parents receive senior high schooling or less. 73.4% of family monthly income is less than 490000 NT dollars. 65.5% of the subjects are encouraged by their parents to enter university. 2.Significant variables in “personal factor” include gender, academic records, residential surroundings, family income, and parental attitude toward their children’s further study. 3.Significant variables in “family factor” include academic records, mother’s educational background, and parental attitude toward their children’s further study. 4.Significant variables in “school factor” include academic records, residential property, and parental attitude toward their children’s further study. 5.Significant variables in “school factor” include gender, academic records, mother’s educational background, family income, and parental attitude toward their children’s further study. 6.All the factors mentioned are significantly related to student’s desire to enter university. 7.Students’ personal background also influences students’ desire to enter university, the decision to take college entrance exams and which college entrance exams they plan to take.
