In this article, we analysis and test the nature of the electric character. The results, comparing with the datasheet of the FEM, the data received are almost similar.
This front-end module consists of 4 frequency band, they are GSM、EGSM、DCS、PCS. In the article, the main testing is done on GSM (Low frequency) and DCS (High microwave frequency) and on S parameter when the frequency band receiving signal from the antenna. When receiving signal, the load needs to be balance. During testing, the antenna and 2 balancing port will be need, thus making 3 ports in total. But the conventional network analyzer has only 2 port functions. Therefore, using the conventional VNA, 2 measurements are taken from 2 out of the 3 ports, totaling 3 sets of 2X2 Matrix S parameter, thus integrating the data to get the 3X3 Matrix S parameter data. During a lab test, a 2 port conventional VNA, can only test and analyze the deficiency in the unbalance port. Therefore, using the same 3X3 Matrix S parameter data on Agilent-ADS to simulated to do the transformation from unbalance to balance and vice versa. We also discussed and analyzed the transformation method and results using the Agilent-ADS simulation. the results on the S4P data of the testing done on the 4 port network analyzing device provided by Hitachi and the S2P data done by the simulating transform method are therefore similar.
Lastly, the conclusion is on the methods on which we can use when doing similar test, using high frequency software as a form of enhancement to make up for the ability of the equipment used.
