Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 機械工程學系(所) === 96 === Increasing fuel price and rising environmental protection consciousness, most of vehicle manufactory has turned to manufacture the diesel vehicle with lower fuel consumption. This study presents that the performance and emission of diesel engine are affected by the geometry shape and area of intake port of the engine cylinder. The content is divided into two aspects to discuss: 1. Increasing intake air volume to improve the engine output efficiency and then reach the target about improving engine performance. 2. Increasing the speed of intake swirl to make fuel and air mix completely to decrease engine emission and improve engine performance. There are four sets experiments with different intake ports geometry carried out in this research, and the air volume and swirl speed were measured. The results were also compared with the case of unchanged intake port geometry. The results shown that all the trends of data with modified intake port were toward the target, but this experiment is still hindered by some factors: the limit of engine structure and short of experience.
