Summary: | 碩士 === 大同大學 === 機械工程學系(所) === 96 === In the proton exchange membrane fuel cell, the measure of reaction gas which diffuses to the MEA has essential effect on efficiency of fuel cell. Through comparing the results of experiments with those of numerical simulations, this thesis investigates the method of the using wavy-serpentine flow field to increase reaction gas which diffuses to the MEA.
This investigation uses the commercial packaged software ESI-CFD to do the numerical simulations. There are certain of difficulties in numerical simulations because of too many zigzags in the design of the flow field. Therefore, basing on the same size of serpentine flow field, this simulation varies the permeability to affect the measure of diffusion of reaction gas.
After analysis of numerical simulations, the experiment put the fuel cell in practice. Then according to the differences between the results of experiments and those of numerical simulations, the method’s feasibility and its solutions are investigated in detail.
