The bottled waters included mineral waters, deep ocean water, and glacial waters. The minerals in the waters were analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES). The results indicated that concentration of Ca, Mg, Na and K wewe in the range of 2~20 ppm , 1~25 ppm , 1.5~12 ppm and 0.1~1.4 ppm , respectively for the bottled waters including the mineral waters, deep ocean waters, and glacial waters. The concentrations of Cu, Zn, Fe, Cr, Mn, and Sr were in the ranges of 0.002~0.05 ppm , 0.0035~0.035 ppm , 0.05~0.1 ppm , 0~0.003 ppm , 0.0008~0.005 ppm and 0.01~0.035 ppm , respectively. The concentrations of harmful heavy metals for Pb, Cd, As and Hg were in the ranges of 0~0.0006 ppm , 0.0001~0.001 ppm , 0.0001~0.0045 ppm and 0.0001~0.0007 ppm , respectively. The results revealed that the mineral concentrations are lower than the national standard for the maximum tolerance of the Sanitary Standard for Bottled and Packaged Drinking Water. It was found that the Rainboii-Hawaii Deep Ocean Water contained up to 200 ppm high concentration of sodium. High sodium foods or drinks should be avoided for the persons had kidney or heart diseases. The Gerolsteiner Sprudel natuarally Sparkling Mineral Water, the. Courmayeur Natural Diet Mineral Water and the Contrex Mineral Water contained high concentration of calcium ( eg 362~532 ppm ) and magnesium ( eg 62.2~120 ppm ). Persons who suffered from kidney stones should avoid high calcium and magnesium water. Proper amounts of minerals is beneficial for health. Over-consuming a kind of particular mineral might be harmful to health. Kow-Jen Duan 段國仁 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 107 zh-TW |
