Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 傳統藝術研究所 === 96 === In the present era, it’s local museums’mission to get involved in local development with the community. While public institutions are facing the issues of financial and personnel shortage, as local museums, how they execute their operational strategies has become the main problem. The second chapter of this paper first discussed how local museums develop and thier missions nowadays. Second, it discussed that the volunteering worker allotment system in museums of Taiwan has become more complete in terms of the theories of museum volunteers and the present situation of how local museums allot volunteers. As community citizens started to become part of museum volunteers, the interaction between museums and the communities has been improved. At the same time, it could help museums get involved in local development with the community and help museums practice their operational strategies. The third chapter used Yingge Ceramics Museum as the subject of research. The author discussed the interaction between museums and the communities and the issue of lack of citizen participation in local development, which are the main issues Yingge Ceramics Museum should deal with. This research discovered that the volunteer allotment organization of Yingge Ceramics Museums has been very complete since it was founded in 2000. The museum has, especially, value the resources of local volunteers and used their special local features to assist museum operations. In year 2006, Yingge Ceramics Museum launched a community-building program. It recruited local citizens as the volunteers in community service team, which fully used the special features of local volunteers and made complete the ideal of citizen participation in museums. At the meanwhile, it helped create the co-building mechanism of mesuems and community and improve the interaction between Yingge Ceramics Museums and the community and improve the local development. The fourth chapter analyzed the effect volunteering personnel have brought for Yingge Ceramics Museum, which could be used as reference for how local museums allot volunteers and volunteers’ assistence in museums’ practice of their operational strategies.
The results of this research were concluded in the following three points:
1. The meaning of volunteering organization in Yingge Ceramics Museum: Yingge Ceramics Museum used the local features of their volunteers to help them boost the local community development. Also, with the volunteers’ mobilization, not only the community citizens have become more involved in activities launched by the museum, the intension of local cultural activities has also been enhanced.
2. Local museums and community co-building mechanism: Volunteering organizations were served as the medium of the co-building of the local community. Yingge Ceramics Museum empowered citizens. Also, it helped them to reach the consensus between the community and the museum and to work hand in hand with the same vision of local development.
3. Local museums can help the growth of autonomous local organizations: Local museums should create a volunteer organization which carries the mission of local development and help the organization operate autonomously. They could even be separated from the museum system and boost local development on their own.
