Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 美術學系碩士在職專班 === 96 === Abstract Portraits are symbolic of the thinking of the people at its age. Because of this, I as an artist would like to create the art works to show the meaning of the time of human’s society and observe and think deeply to probe into the performance of the portrait. This is also the purpose why I use the portrait as my artistic creations. To a creator like me, the performance of the work of art is far better than the form of painting in the aspect of showing my personal idea. With the thinking of style and form, I expand the traditional idea of the combination of Chinese writing and painting, and take the advantage of the brushwork and the rhythm of the calligraphic art to perform the image of writing onto my water and ink paintings. I would like to explore the form of performing the imagery. In the art of calligraphy, the meaning of the writing is to perform the imagery. Therefore, I am thinking about how to promote and expand the importance of the writing in my paintings. How to extract the calligraphic writing part to merge into the water-and-ink paintings? Even the discussions of the body, the mind, and the spirit as a whole said by the people in this age and whether or not the portraits convey such a performing form are the issues that I have been concerned. I would like to emphasize the researches should start from the innovation and the present moment to be the main imagery. In face of the transaction of age, my portrait should also reach a better goal in the form of visual imagery.
