Performers should use “cyclical breathing” to play this piece, which means to play it with “only one breath” from the beginning to the end. Afterward because it is beloved by many flute players, Chang rearranged this piece for flute solo. 《Poem for Flute Solo》 was elected as the assigned piece for the Ninth Classical Chinese Instrument Competition held by Taipei Chinese Orchestra, and is embodied in the album “Contemporary Flute Works by Taiwan Composers ”, represented in both Chinese Flute and flute versions. This thesis is going to start with introducing the composer Chang, and discusses why and how he composed this piece. Then proceed to analyze the work in detail, using the original version with the idea of cyclical breathing, and compare it with the published flute score. After that, is going to view from the performing aspect, and discuses the differences between the playing of Chinese Flute and western flute. Hopefully, This thesis will offer different interpretive opinions for the players who is interested to play this piece. 鄭德淵 陳中申 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW |
