Questionnaires were utilized in the research to collect data. The subjects of this research were the players who participated in the primary group of the 36th National Zhong-Hua Cup volleyball championship. The means of Descriptive Statistic, t-test, One-way ANOVA and Tukey method were utilized to analyze the collected data and the findings were indicated as below: 1. The players in the research were motivated by five factors: ‘rewards and complements’, ‘training context’, ‘need of fulfillment’, ‘sense of achievement’ and ‘mental and physical adjustment’. In addition, there were four factors in the team cohesion: ‘team adaption’, ‘interpersonal affiliation’, ‘teamwork’ and ‘interpersonal attraction’. 2. The results which were yield after comparing the differences between various background variables and motivation factors were illustrated as following: (1). The boys had greater motivation than the girls. (2). There was no difference in various grade players’ motivation. (3). There was no difference in the players who were trained for various hours of each week. (4). The longer the time the players had participated in the team, the greater motivation they had. (5). The team that had worse grades had greater motivation. 3. The findings that were yield after comparing various background variables and the differences of the four factors in the team cohesion were reported as below: (1). The boys had greater team cohesion than the girls. (2). There was no difference in the team cohesion of various graders. (3). The players who were trained for various hours of each week had no influence on the team cohesion. (4). The players who had participated in the team for a shorter time had grater team cohesion. (5). The team that had worse grades had better team cohesion. 4. The analysis of primary volleyball players’ motivation and team cohesion is illustrated as below: The more ‘rewards and complements’, ‘training context’, ‘need of fulfillment’ and ‘mental and physical adjustment’ the students have, the greater team cohesion would be. 王宗騰 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
