Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 特殊教育學系身心障礙教育教學碩士學位班( === 96 === This research was to explore the influential factors of first grade students with language disorders in Taipei elementary schools including: family factors, medical treatment factors and education factors. The research tool was the 「Language Disorders Children’s Main Caretaker Interview Form」 and research targets were first grade students in Taipei elementary schools in academic year 2005 and 2006 with language Disorders evaluation by the 「Taipei Special Education Students Assessment and Study Guidance Committee」. All together there were 126 students including 93 male students and 33 female students. This research separated the interview into two stages. The first stage was interview on parents or main caretakers of the above 126 first grade students with Language Disorders in Taipei elementary schools and the second stage was interview on parents or main caretakers of these 126 students who were willing to accept further interview and all together there were 37. Based on the information obtained from these two interview stages, this research conducted primary data statistical processing and collective analysis. In accordance with the above research methods, results obtained were as follows:
1. Family factors affecting first grade students with Language Disorders in Taipei elementary schools
There were 28.6% with relevant Language Disorders family history. The male and female ratio was about 3:1 and low income household were 12.7%. In regard to the order of birth, the youngest had the majority was about 51.6%. For education level of father, percentage of university or college was the highest occupying 35.7% and for education level of mother, percentage of high school was the highest occupying 48.4%. The average age of father during the birth of the child was 34.74 years old. The average age of the mother was 30.71 years old and this was higher comparing with the age of mother of general children. New immigrant father only occupied 3.2% and new immigrant mother occupied 13.5%.
2. Medical treatment factors affecting first grade students with Language Disorders in Taipei elementary schools
Abnormal pregnancy of mother occupied 13.5%, premature birth occupied 13.5%, insufficient weight of newborn baby occupied 17.5%, bad health condition during infant period occupied 26.2%, long-term medication during babyhood occupied 13.5%, abnormal movement development occupied 23.0%, abnormal language development occupied 59.5%, abnormal livelihood self management occupied only 4%, performance of not being quiet in livelihood before one full year occupied 29.3% and being quite occupied 18.3% and compared with the performance of children of the same age and sex, the parents of language disorders children that felt about the abnormality occupied 93.7% and abnormality conditions included abnormal language performance, attention was in only in short period of time and action was not coordinated etc. 41.3% of parents felt that apart from language disorders their children also had relevant disorders such as: hyperactivity, unstable emotion and autism etc. For rehabilitation treatment, the acceptance of language treatment occupied the most at 84.9% and on the average the age of accepting language treatment was 3.93 years old.
3. Education factors affecting first grade students with Language Disorders in Taipei elementary schools
Acceptance of early treatment before three years old was not high and only occupied 4.8%. Before the schooling period, most of them studied in ordinary kindergarten occupying 98.4% and only 1.6% studied in special kindergarten.
