Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 音樂學系教學碩士學位班 === 96 === The purpose of this study was to investigate current status of elementary school music associations in Taipei area. Specifically, this study surveyed the training situation, the instructor’s satisfactory level of self proficiency ability and the school administrative support of music associations. The results of this study were expected to serve as references in developing music associations for schools. The method of questionnaire survey was utilized, using self-developed “Questionnaire of the Current Status of Elementary School Music Associations in Taipei Area” as the research instrument. The questionnaires were sent to instructors of elementary school music associations in Taipei City and Taipei County, coming to a total of 540 subjects, for this census study. Among them, 361 valid copies were obtained and the valid return rate was 67%. Questionnaire data collected were then analyzed using statistics of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, one sample t-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe’s Method. The following conclusions were drawn from this study: 1. The percentage of organizing music associations in elementary school in Taipei area is considered high. There is a wide variety of music association types. The bigger scale the school is the bigger quantity the music associations are. 2. The ways of forming music associations in Taipei area are considered similar. The instructors adopt different ways to train, and take the supervising work of music associations seriously. The frequency rate of training methods varies due to the differences of instructors’ gender, teaching service years and the types of their music associations. 3. The instructors are satisfied with their self proficiency ability of instructing. The satisfactory levels of self proficiency ability differ, however, between instructors of different music learning background, highest academic degree and weekly lessens of instruction. 4. The most wanted improvement in proficiency ability for music association instructors are ranked sequentially as conducting, music interpreting and music arranging. 5. Difficulties the instructors meet with in organizing and training music associations are ranked sequentially as low member attendance rate, shortage of participants as well as shortage of funding. 6. Support from school administration is only basal. The identified support levels from school administration differ between factors including school location, school scale and instructors’ music background. Based on research findings, the researcher proposed suggestions for references on education authority, school administration, instructors and future research.
