The quality of medical care for cancer patients should be concerned. In this research the target hospital opened in May, 2005. And had more cancer cases than some medical centers and cancer specialty hospital in 2006. It’s a interesting phenomenon. The study based on Andersen’ “Behavior model of service utilization”. The objective is to find out the factors influencing the intentions of cancer patients to seek medical care. The method is to collect data by a designed questionary. The target is the outpatients of Hematology and Oncology and Radiology. Besides, this study also collected data from the outpatients of General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, ENT Dept. and Family Medicine as a contrast. The results are:(1)Positive correlation was found among cancer patients’ satisfaction on the environment and treatment of hospital and the intention to seek medical care.(2)There are differences between cancer patients and ordinary patients’ medical seeking behaviors:Cancer patients think highly at the other patients’ experience and the attitude of medical personnel. Cancer patients have higher satisfaction on the time expenditure and convenient when they sought medical care in this hospital. Cancer patients have higher intention to continue seeking medical care in this hospital. The main factor which influencing the intentions of cancer patients to seek medical care is the patients’ satisfaction, especially in medical environment and treatment. Those provide medical service should pay attention at these two dimensions and offer better medical care for cancer patients.
