Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 96 === The main purpose of the study is to investigate the relationships of family social capital and family cultural capital to the English achievement in high grades elementary school students of the DaTong Dist. It analyzed students’ different backgrounds, including gender, family structure, parental education level, socioeconomic status, as well as affection factors in the relationship among English achievement and family social and family cultural capital. The method of the study is questionnaire survey and collect the 1120 data of senior students in Taipei City DaTong Dist elementary schools in cluster sampling way. I analyzed the data by method of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T test, One-Way Anova, Stepwise Regression, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and got the research results as follows, which is a reference for education: Parents’ socioeconomic status are significantly to the family social and cultural capital, however, socioeconomic status are not to the education concern. The gender is significantly to the family social and cultural capital, especially the female is better than male. The English achievement is significantly and positively influenced by family social and cultural capital.
