| Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 中國語文學系碩士班 === 96 === The main purpose of this study is applying picture books to design suitable curriculums of life education for students in grades 1 and 2 in elementary schools.Teaching activities are divided into four aspects : “Cherish yourself ” , “Respect the others” , “Concerned about the society” , “Embrace the world” .
The subjects are students in one class from north Taiwan . The researcher has performed the curriculum for two years , through guided reading , group discussion , writing work sheet , extended activities , and explored the teaching process.
In the process , the important aims are : 1.The effect of implemented life education by picture books ; 2.The necessity of life education for students in grades 1 and 2 ; 3.The reaction to difficulties ; 4.The researcher’s growth in action research.
In this research , the main results and findings are summarized as follows : 1.The researcher’s self-growth :（a）By modifying and improving , to design the curriculum that meets children’s need attains humanized teaching .（b）Recording and observing children’s behavior makes teaching complete .（c）Children’s reaction provides the opportunity to reflect . 2.The students’ learning effect :（a）They can find their own characteristics , make confidence and have courage to face challenges .（b）They know how to give love to people around and think in the others’ shoes .（c）They do their best to fill the society with love .（d）They can feel the beauty of the world and spread concern around the world .
Finally , according to the results of the research , some suggestions are provided.
