This research was focused on establishing a rapid detecting method for PBDEs in plastics. We focused on the comparison of microwave assisted extraction(MAE) and Soxhlet extraction(SE) methods. Due to several chemicals that can interfere the analysis such as plasticizing agent, brominated flame retardants(BFRs) were added during the production of plastics, we utilized acidified silica gel clean up to remove the interference before analyzing the extract by GC-MS/MS. The experiment were focused on qualification and quantification of BDE-99and BED-100 in plastic samples by GC-ECD and GC-MS/MS. The efficiency of sample pre-treatment methods such as microwave assisted extraction, Soxhlet extraction, acidified silica gel clean up, and sample concentrator are also discussed. To optimize the parameters of microwave assisted extraction(MAE), we use Thermoplastic Elastomer(TPE) spiked sample method to perform Taguchi Method. The optimal conditions conclude from our experiment are as following:(1) extraction time:30 min;(2) extraction temperature:130 oC;(3) extraction solvents component:toluene/octane/methanol (10/1/5,v/v/v);(4) sample weight:0.25 g. In conclusion, the recovery efficiency of PBDEs were up to 80 % by performing microwave assisted extraction using the optimal condition mentioned above. Experiment results show that the microwave assisted extraction that uses less solvents can create the same extraction efficiency as Soxhlet extraction. Tau-Being Hsu 許道平 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 140 zh-TW
