Altogether divides into six chapters, that are briefly stated as follows: The first chapter is an introduction. It shows the research motive and the goal, the scope and the method of the research ,and the evolutional profile of the novels in chivalry sentiment. The second chapter states the biography of Wang Tulu and his works. The first section introduces Wang Tulu himself. The second section outlines the works of the Wang Tulu. The third section discusses the contents of the five tunes of " atragedy and chivalry sentiment ". The third chapter is about the characteristic to the thought of the five tunes.The first section discusses the chivalry spirit in the context. The second section analysis the traditional morals in the context.The third section account for the characteristic of the sentiments in the context. The fourth chapter is about the motif of the five tunes. The first section analyzes the love between Chiang Hsiao Her and Bao Aluan. The second section analyzes the love which Li Mupai and Yu Xiulien "the sentiment and righteousness" is difficult to be satisfactory to both sides; The third section concerns Luo Hsiao Hu and the Yu Jiao Long’s love with punishment and crime. The fourth section states Han T''ieh Fang and the Chuen Shuei Pin’s love with coincident. The Fifth chapter is about the characters in the Five Tunes. The first section discusses main aracters. The second section analyzes secondary characters, and the third analyzes the villain ones.
