An accurate BER expression is derived based on Gaussian approximation. A series of simulations is conducted over various UWB channels with varying numbers of users. Experimental results reveal good agreements between simulations and derived BERs are achieved when the number of users is twenty-four; which verify the effectiveness of the derived result for predicting DS-UWB system performance.
