The liquid crystal molecules aligned with the polymer nework, so the cell has high pretilt angle by 20 ~ 28. Because of the twist-to-splay energy barrier, the undisturbed cell could stay at twist state. The response time, T-V curve and viewing angle dependence of the sample cell were measured to evaluate the potential in the display application.
