Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 96 === This paper studied low reflection, conductive primer coating which is called Under Coating (UC). UC is mainly applied on organic photo conductor inside the carbon cartridge of laser printer. Two methods of surface treatment have been used to produce aluminum substrate which is called Mirror surface base material for organic photo conductor. One method is to atomize aluminum substrate on organic photo conductor directly and then carry on the anodic treatment which is called Anode surface base material. Therefore, the surface roughness (Ra) was equal to the wave length of laser and the reflection light was eliminated by optical interference effect.
Another method is to coat primer coating, which can adsorb laser light, between electricity layer and aluminum substrate. The coating is composed by Titanium dioxide、polyvinyl alcohol、methyl alcohol、methylene chloride. By changing the ratio of Titanium dioxide-polyvinyl alcohol mixture and rising velocity of dipping, the thickness of UC membrane can be controlled. The purpose of these two methods is to form low reflection when laser enter the inner layer of photo conductor. However, the atomization and anodic treatment of aluminum substrate not only lead high-cost but also cost much on waste water of plating. If the waste water drain without effective treatment, the ecological environment will be damaged seriously. For the consideration of effective production cost and environmental protection, primer coating will be key point for companies’ research and development.
After coating UC on the surface of aluminum substrate in adequate membrane thickness, the result showed that this membrane could reduce low reflection of laser, possessed proper function of resistance and reduced the cost of organic photo conductor’s production. As the experimental data, the thicknesses of coating are not the longer the better and the optimized range is from 3.3 to 4.5 μm.
