Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 96 === In this study, the characterization methods of barium nitrate were investigated by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), Flame Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (FAAS), and Ion Chromatography (IC) to detect the concentration of barium in powder and estimate the concentration of barium nitrate. The gravimetrical method (by the sedimentation of the barium sulfate) of the MIL-STD-286C examined the concentration of barium nitrate of the powder, and the accuracy and repeatability of the method was justified by recovery rate, re-appear property, and relative standard deviation (RSD) of barium nitrate. Second, the gravimetrical method with the FAAS method of the MIL-STD-286C was constructed based on the concentration of barium. At the last, we analyzed the concentration of barium in powder based on the plasma atomic emission spectrometry and Ion Chromatography method to explore the applicability and potential error caused by of the gravimetrical method. The results showed the recovery rate and re-appear property of the method were inconsistent and the potential error source from traditional method was further evaluated. Meanwhile, the present study proved the reliability of ICP-OES、AA and IC regarding quality control and statistics. We hope this study provides a fast, accurate and intelligent (sensitive) method to analyze the concentration of barium nitrate within the powder.
