As a result of globalization tendency, cooperation and competition in regional are changed to worldwide now. Under the cost and margin concerns, many outstanding auto electronics companies build collaboration relationship with Taiwan based manufacturers and set sophisticated world supply chain to bring a prosperous vision to Taiwan auto electronics business. Because of the feature of specialist and oligopoly in auto electronics business, it seems a very conserved market. In Taiwan, although it is just on the initial stage, still many companies own their strong operating channels and market scales. But comparing to other global well-known companies, there is a long way to go. Therefore, this research is to study the issues in Taiwan that how to reduce transaction costs in supply chain, and how to organize a simple and efficient business structure in order to enhance auto electronics market scales and companies competitiveness. This research is based on transaction costs concept and analyzed by case study, then apply transaction costs and agency cost theories to supply chain management. Also by discussing the problem and challenges that auto electronics business encounters, this research propose useful solutions such as standard components, module design, outsourcing and VMI. From internal to external improving, it is able to lower external transaction cost, create more stable supply chain structure, and achieve the target of upgrading Taiwan auto electronics business competitiveness.
