Summary: | 碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 休閒與遊憩管理學系碩士班 === 96 === In the field of leisure studies, relationship between teacher’s leisure lifestyle and site choice for out-of-school activity is lacking attention. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to understand teachers’ leisure lifestyles, to explore teachers’ viewpoint on the site choice of out-of-school activity, and to investigate the differentiations of teacher’s leisure lifestyle and site choice for out-of-school activity in elementary school.
Employing stratified sampling, this study sampled 414 elementary school teachers in Changhwa area, with 377 effective questionnaires recovered. 5 factorial components and 19 issues were recognized by factorial analysis. By clustered analysis, 4 types of elementary school teachers were identified: whole-family outing group, single traveler group, home-staying net surfers and individualists. Significant variances were demonstrated between population types and site choice for out-of-school activity.
This study also found the most selected sites and types were “other counties” and “facility type” for current elementary school out-of-school activity. The most respondents selecting “facility type” were belonged to whole-family outing group and individualists. The respondents selecting “cultural type” were belonged to single traveler group. The respondents selecting “ecological type” were belonged to whole-family outing group.
Based on this study, general investigations toward teachers in Taiwan area could be conducted to further understand site selection behavior for out-of-school activity of the particular professionals.
