Description
Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 觀光學研究所(含碩專班) === 96 === The upgrading of living standards and economic conditions in the country during the past few years had made artistic and leisure activities more affordable to the general public. Moreover, in light of the tangible and intangible pressures coming from their work and lifestyles, people are now beginning to gradually seek relaxation and easing of their minds and bodies, hence the growing demand for artistic and leisure activities in the market. A study of the visitor growth in public and private recreation spots, theme t parks, or recreation farms in the country revealed that despite the number of these types of recreational spots, facilities with more artistic themes were found to be quite limited; moreover, related studies in this area are also scarce. Hence, this paper conducted a case study on the New Era Art Resort & SPA for this purpose. The study found that the New Era Art Resort & SPA has a rich ethnic art ambiance and naive art creative style. Unfortunately, the tourists are quite unfamiliar with the main character – “Lin Yuan”, and many could not understand “Jean Dubuffet’s Art Brut”. Furthermore, in view of the stiff competition in the travel and tourism market, difficulty in preserving outdoor sculptures, the hydra-headed government laws and regulations, and the park area service and planning problems, operators indeed face a tough challenge ahead of them. Therefore, this study recommends that New Era Art Resort & SPA take full advantage of the competitive edge of its products, site conditions, and the unique qualities of its natural and cultural environments. Moreover, New Era Art Resort & SPA should learn to ride the tide and market Art Brut recreational activities and experiences as its niche; continue to develop and package the artistic elements and innovative value of the art and recreation park; enhance the “Jean Dubuffet’s Art Brut” through various resources and activities; and finally with art exhibits as its core product, seek its own “blue ocean” in the leisure and recreation market.
