Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 觀光學研究所(含碩專班) === 96 === The vocational training of the tour guides is the necessary process to gain the license. Its purpose is to cultivate the quality of tour guides. By this training to enhance professional knowledge, skill and service of tour guides, in order to protect tourist’s personal safety and maintain country image. There are four purposes of this research: 1. Analyze the demography of the tour guide candidates. 2. Find out the importance toward courses and planning of the vocational training of tour guides in different background candidates. 3. Find out the satisfaction toward courses and planning of the vocational training of tour guides in different background candidates. 4. By IPA analysis method, analyze the importance and satisfaction of the vocational training of tour guides. The method of sampling took Stratified Random Sampling. There are 240 valid questionnaires in 300, sum up to 80%. In research methods, the study includes reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, T-test, one-way ANOVA and IPA. The major results of this research were found that the percentage of gender, marriage and seniority are the same, and the most tour guide candidates ranged from 42 to 49 years old, live at northern Taiwan, educated in college degree, graduated from or studying in non-tourism related department and engaged in non-tourism industry related occupation. As for the importance of vocational training of tour guides, the highest parts are the airport practical training, guiding skills and the Palace Museum introducing. Regarding the satisfaction of vocational training of tour guides, the highest parts are administration instructors, the appreciation of traditional architects, Lungshan Temple, and the profession of lecturers. In differentiation analysis, we find out gender, age and seniority will influence the importance of vocational training of tour guides. In the other hand, age and job position will influence the satisfaction of vocational training of tour guides. Based on the results of the study, suggestions are proposed regarding the vocational training of tour guides for related associations and administration of government authority.
