Summary: | 碩士 === 世新大學 === 行政管理學研究所(含博、碩專班) === 96 === With the diverse and professional missions, Coast Guard Administration (CGA), a fully responsible organization for Maritime Law Enforcement, has made a claim to recruit Coast Guard Personnel by The Civil Service Special Examination for Coast Guard since 2001. In order to soon get into duties, new blood is obligated to take a period of orientation training before accepting assignments. In the end of the training, however, there is no standard of evaluation to examine training effectiveness about trainee’s opinions and satisfaction with the curriculum, teaching materials and instructor, the improvement in individual knowledge and skills as well as the effectiveness of training application at works.
The methodology in this dissertation is based on the theory of Kirkpatrick’s “Four Level Evaluation Model”. Questionnaire is adopted and targets trainees to self-evaluate the training applicability. The collected data is analyzed by the means of statistics. First, the common factors are found through the Factor Analysis. And then, the outline of training effectiveness is made by Descriptive Statistic Analysis. Last, the T-test, One Way ANOVA and Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation Analysis are applied to analyze the relations between individual difference backgrounds and other variables and dimensions which are “the significant differences of training effectiveness”, “satisfaction of trainee and the effectiveness of personal learning” as well as “the effectiveness of personal learning and the effectiveness of training application at works”.
The findings in this dissertation are as follows:
1.There are significant differences on satisfaction of trainee, the effectiveness of personal learning and the effectiveness of training application at works influenced by individual difference backgrounds.
2.The relations to relevant variables and dimensions are positive:
The relations between “Satisfaction of trainee and the effectiveness of personal learning” as well as the relations between “the effectiveness of personal learning and the effectiveness of training application at works” present positive. Furthermore, each dimension of these relations are also positive. The positive relations appeared again in the relations between “Satisfaction with the effectiveness of curriculum and the learning effectiveness of curriculum” as well as the relations between “the learning effectiveness of curriculum and the effectiveness of curriculum application at works”.
3.The effectiveness of training is acceptable and can be progressed:
The findings in this dissertation can be a reference to improve follow-up Coast Guard Personnel orientation training in 6 aims which are, 1. to re-evaluate the period of course, 2. to improve the results assessment, 3. to examine the appropriate courses and length, 4. to foster qualified instructors within organizations and to establish certificate system, 5. to reinforce the effectiveness of training and, 6. to elaborately design curriculum in accordance with work needs.
