Neo-Confusicianism of The Sung and Ming Dynasties has possessed a critical role throughout the process of Chinese philosophy for two thousand years. The Tai Zhou School, established by Wang Sin Jhai, one of Wang Yang Ming’s apprentices, was identified as one of the most important schools in Ming Dynasty. Moreover, it influenced the later philosophy and literature work. Wang Dong Yai, the second child of Wang Sin Jhai, founder of The Tai Zhou School, continue his father’s career as lecturer, indicating his academic status. However, there were few studies conducted regarding this field. Therefore, the aim was made to explore Wang Dong Yai’s thoughts and academic status by over reviewing his scholar literature.

The chapter next analyzed Wang Dong Yai’s perspective on innate knowledge. It appeared that his philosophy was based on Wang Long Si and Wang Sin Jhai’s, turning innate knowledge into natural evidence. The main idea is natural morale and the method is natural method, revealing Wang Dong Yai’s special position on the Tai Zhou School and the evolution on thoughts in the late Ming Dynasty. The fourth chapter analyzed Wang Dong Yai’s perspective on “Le Syue”(樂學). The progress of Confucianism’s “Le Syue” disclosed that Wang Dong Yai’s rhathymia was resulted from his comprehension of “Le Syue” and precise understanding of natural “Le”. The final chapter concluded from social concern perspective.
