碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 管理碩士在職專班 === 96 === Abstract
In his book “Post-Capitalist Society”, Peter Drucker pointed out that knowledge and intellectual capital will change the organizational structure and create new competitive patterns within the organization. Meanwhile, the invisible assets and knowledge-added values are the keys to retain competitiveness of the organization. The hidden values, which are the skills of the company staff, the efficacy of the organization and the relationship between its consumers, are “Intellectual Capital.”
In the era of knowledge economy, the construction of the values and organization competitiveness will evolve towards innovation, knowledge-intensive and fun-intensive in international tourism hotels. Therefore, business owners have to analyze and understand the essence of globalization, current business trends and organizational niche. The most important is the hidden intellectual capital and making the most use of it will be the ultimate goal in maintaining company competitiveness and growth.
This study selected three hotels and interviewed three participants, including one upper-manager and two professionals in each hotel in order to reach the conciseness of the interview data. Grounded theory was used as a concept for data analysis. The results showed the overall scope and content of intellectual capital in international tourism hotels. The path to achieve organizational goal which leads to competitiveness was also analyzed.
Key words: Intellectual capital、human capital、structural capital、social capital and organizational competitiveness
