Every labor occupational disaster usually causes a great loss of business, a broken family and many regrets. It also creates a huge burden on society. In occupational disaster statistics of 2005, announced by Executive Yuan Labor Committee in July 2006, 37348 accidents were reported, resulting in 135 deaths, 15 permanent disables and 280 permanent partial disables. These caused many broken families and irreparable regrets. Many lives could be saved, if protection measures were well prepared in advance, or when an accident occurs, situations could be handled and reacted quickly. In recent years, the ubiquitous network has become a hot research topic. This study proposes to use radio frequency identification(RFID) technology and monitoring equipments designing a context aware system architecture, which uses environmental data and personal information collected and passed by various sensors in the field actively issuing alerts to prevent occurrence or reduce the probability of industrial disasters and damages. The results of this study can be applied to other factories and dangerous working environments in manufacturing industry for building an industrial accident early warning system.
