Their status in the family get promotion, but the traditional life style agree with the basic principle: “Husbands work outside, and wives stay at home” have not changed. In the position of sexual role, lots of women are still responsible for most of the housework, so the married career women are very busy with their family and work, and the role conflict usually happen, it is always short of time. Such situation would also influence the life satisfaction of the married career women.
The main purposes of this study is to explore current situations and correlations regarding how the married career women in Taipei City perform in respect of “time management ”, and “life satisfaction”, and provide the married career women, workplace and related government bureaus references to women.
The research method of this study is adopt “Survey method”, surveys with questionnaires. On the basis of the method of “purposive sampling” and “snowball sampling”, the sampling frame is married career women in Taipei City. The official sampling is 650 married career women, this study earns 452 effective samples, and the response rate is 85.6%. Research approaches include: “Personal Background Chart”, “Scale of Time Management” and “Scale of Life satisfaction”. All data gained is under the analysis of: frequency distribution, percentages, averages, standard deviations, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression, and the results are as follows:
1. The married career women’s “Time Management” tends to be good.
2. The married career women’s “Life Satisfaction” tends to be good.
3. The married career women’s personal background variables are no significant relationship to time management and life satisfaction.
4. Significantly positive and high relationship was observed between time management and life satisfaction.
5. Significantly positive and low relationship was observed between time management and marital satisfaction.
6. Significantly positive and low relationship was observed between time management and parent-child satisfaction.
7. Significantly positive and high relationship was observed between time management and self-growth satisfaction.
8. Their “Time Management” best describes its “Life Satisfaction”.
Finally, according to the findings and conclusions in this study, related suggestions for women, workplace and the government were proposed : The married career women should take the relative courses of time management actively and try to promote the ability of time management, emphasize time planning and control time effectively. At the same time, the workplace should improve a good work environment, related government administration should have the relative course and activities of time management and hold the research of time management.
