It is an important goal of urban planning to pursue the convenience and amenity in residential area of living. The scale and density in urban residential area affects residential environment enormously. So this research confers the relationship of scale, density, and facility. It is to confer and analysis the developing situation of scale and density in urban residential area in Taipei City.
The main goals of the research are as follows:
1. To analysis the relationship and importance of developing scale, density, and communal facility in urban residential area.
2. To confer the developing situation of scale and density in urban residential area in Taipei City. It is to contrast, analysis, and frame the topic of study.
The contents in this research are to explore the thought of planning in urban residential area, the law or technical literatures of scale and density in Taiwan, and the meaning and document of urban residential area. By the way, it compares the cases in urban residential area (Singapore, Japan, China, and Taiwan), and the research of investigations of ten cases in urban residential area in Taipei City. It generalized the topic for study of development of scale and density in urban residential area in Taipei City. It can be a reference to study our future urban residential area in Taiwan.
