Further more, there is lots of information and programs related to sustainable building provided in recent years, but the architects considered not able to utilize them effectively. It probably is caused by the ineffective capture of the knowledge of sustainable building technology. In other words, the key of knowledge capture success is if the architects could effectively utilize that knowledge in their practical usage. The study reviews the Green Building certification and continuing education programs in Taiwan by interviewing and surveying the architects. With their opinions to the programs and their experiences of sustainable building design, the study addresses several practical suggestions. Those suggestions are described as follows. 1.To found a database of good cases and combine with benchmarking to improve the effects of the architects utilize the sustainable building technology knowledge. 2.To enhance the use of internet of architects in order that all of them could complete their continuing education on-line. 3.To make the Architects Associations be the platforms of continuing education information exchange while cooperate with other academic and research concerns in order to improve the professional abilities of architects. 4.To establish the knowledge map of sustainable building technology to mark the types and characteristic of the programs. Than the architects can simply tell the practicability and whether they need other related knowledge or not. So that they can complete the sustainable building design with success. 5.To ensure the quality of learned knowledge, the government should promote the authentication of continuing education programs as soon as possible.
