Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 管理研究所 === 96 === Thanks to dramatically increasing need for a variety of commercial electronic products, requirement for panels has grown up largely for Taiwan Panel industry since 2007. The panel market is very promising. But due to the severe competition among panel companies, compared to other electronic industries, the panel industry transit quickly into minor-profit era. Also, it’s well known that the panel shortage problem of the small-size panel amount (panel size smaller than 10”) has lasted for long time. The purpose of the present paper is to research the adaptive strategies for manufacturers of products while facing the shortage problem of the key component, i.e., the small panel. By collecting literatures, we studied the data related to the component shortage problem. The case study method is utilized and four companies encountered with panel shortage problem are interviewed. The interviewed people share their practical experiences and perceptions for strategies which are tended to be taken by their companies. After the processes of analysis and integration, nine primarily adaptive strategies for panel shortage problem are proposed, and there are five strategies to the panel suppliers upstream and four strategies to the clients downstream respectively. It’s concluded that no single strategy could be the best solution and each strategy matters relatively. Furthermore, these strategies should be applied correspondingly to the properties of the enterprise and industrial environment, or the combination of strategies is applied flexibly.
