Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 96 === This paper studies primarily on patent search and analysis of natural light guiding optical structures, their applications are with the natural light as the light source. We begin with proper combination of key words, firstly search into European Patent Office (EPO), ranking the screened results according to nationality and each patent category. From the preliminary patent analysis, we recognized that several incurrence energy crises occurred in history did speed up research on natural light guiding development, as shown on patent search results. Therefore we bring into addition key word: backlight, not only because it’s a buzzing word, but its design abounds of similar concept with natural light guiding. Again, we proceed to patent search, with additional key words to obtain further results. From analysis on these results, we conclude many related patents are from Japan. We therefore extend IPC(International Patent Classification) to combine with F-Term, which is the classification adopted by Japan Patent Office(JPO), to obtain the final patent search results. We then use the results to build a Patent Search System, which can be easily accessed from web browsers, such as IE, KKMan, etc.). This system is innovative and useful for people who needs further analysis after patent search.
