Therefore, with booming development of domestic tour activity it has led to in the continuous growth and increase of accommodation demands in each of the scenic spots in the country. As a result, the supply of accommodation by staying hotels during the peak season is unable to meet the needs of accommodation amount; therefore, many small-scale hostels and featured hostels are thus brought. Hostel industry is of the business that has integrated accommodation, catering, and sightseeing and other relevant industries. This study would base on such, and find out the key success factor (KSF) of hostel industry from historical literatures. Then, it would conduct simple statistic analysis after having done in-depth interview and questionnaire filling by the hostel businesspeople to corroborate exact what key success factors of hostel industry are. After analysis, this study has obtained following conclusions of 10 key success factors as: architectural outlook and hardware facility, human resources, marketing channel, service quality, pricing factor, Internet, reputation factor, financial management, geographical location and view atmosphere, and market segregation, which can affect if the management of hostel can be successful. Among these items, “service quality” is considered to be most important, while the use and popularization of Internet have gradually replaced conventional market channels.
