A model-based feed-rate profile optimization problem is discussed for the fed-batch recombinant protein production. The optimization procedure, applying Genetic Algorithm, one of Evolutionary Algorithm methods, is discussed the results of the optimization that contains the two objective functions regarded as the fewest amount of the lactose feed and the highest amount of recombinant protein. After the optimization, we use the optimal lactose feed-rate to design Single-input Single-output(SISO)control.
