Taiwan has also complied with this trend and began to pay attention to the great value of cultural and creative industries. Cultural performance is one of this industries links. Through literature research and practical analysis of cultural performance with the data which collected through qualitative research, to classify the Visual Communication Design Courses of universities during recent years. We concluded the characteristics and futures of current Taiwan’s Visual Communication Design Courses. Finally, we interview with scholars and experts in the Industry, Government, and the Academia to achieve the purposes of research. However, cultural performance in Taiwan is still inadequate and need the efforts from the Industry, Government, and the Academia to make the best use of strengths and improve the disadvantage, to refined cultural performances with Visual Communication Design. Visual Communication Design department can also echo this trend. In Taiwan, the development of Visual Communication Design department has associated with cultural performances since very beginning; the relevant curriculum of cultural performance has also been arranged. Scholars and experts believe that the Visual Communication design courses is adequate for students’ design techniques and provide the audience the several nature of cultural performances; but there is need to focus on the integrated courses of social and human aspects to response the trend, enhance the student's own culture, then the visual communication design and cultural complement can complement with each other. For Visual Communication Design courses, general universities and technical and vocational college can adjust courses with the humanities and social science. General universities can use the relation between humanities and social science with Visual Communication Design. Technical and vocational college can integrate humanities and social science into Visual Communication Design courses to combine with relevant practical matters, to differentiate from general universities.
