Although GPS is a mature subject, there are still some skills to improve difficulty of loop filter design method. The thesis uses small signal to approximate carrier tracking system. And also employs multi-objective control technique to deal with the various design objectives: good transient response, and small noise bandwidth. This thesis presents an aprroxmative linear plant of GPS carrier tracking, then we can get a phase transfer function. For other loop filter design methods, there is no technique to meet all requirements. One feature of the proposed method is that it allows to specify some loop filter poles and zeros in advance. Moreover, the proposed method can design loop filter of any order. By the simulation results, made by MATLAB, we can verify that the proposed loop filter design method can really achieve our requirement, and it can work on real GPS structure.
