Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊工程學研究所 === 96 === The most important thing of medical care is patients’ safety, but errors can hardly be avoided, especially to err is human. In order to reduce the errors caused by human, we construct Health Information System (HIS) to facilitate patients’ safety and to improve the quality of medical care. Through the process of medical care, all of the medical acts are based on physicians’ orders, and in the National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH), Electronic Health Record (EHR) committee proposed the localized standard flow of orders. There are many purposes of the standard flow of orders, first, to enhance medical procedures and enforce hospital policies; second, any necessary procedures can facilitate patients’ safety and improve the quality of medical care; third, to collect enough data for using EHR in near future. Among the proposed procedures, we decide to construct Electronic Medication Administration Record (EMAR) System, because according to researches, medication errors are high proportion of all medical errors, and we expect the EMAR system can reduce medication errors. Besides, we also hope EMAR can assist nurses to administer medication.
