Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 兒童文學研究所 === 97 === The original idea is just for further awareness of the type of detective fictions. After a better understanding of detective fictions originated from the west, the attention is drawn toward detective fictions in Taiwan connecting with the study area—children’s literature. From the beginning of the western detective fictions to the prosperity of Japanese detective fictions, and then the introduction of the foreign detective fictions in Taiwan, the focus at last is about Taiwan local children’s detective fictions. The fictions written by Meng, Yong Li are the main research text because she is the most productive writer in writing children’s detective fictions. The text is analyzed by three elements--who, how, and why--which are necessary to analyze detective fictions. After analysis, there are three viewpoints. First, the main characters need to be depicted deeper in order to build the vivid, impressive roles. Second, the criminal motives need to be diversified to enrich the creativity of writing. However, the description of the multiple clues and detection shows that the writer has the ability to write the detective fictions for the children readers. Since her works are representative in Taiwan local children’s detective fictions, the author thinks there is a future in Taiwan’s works from her works.
