Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育學系(所) === 96 === This study was purposed to investigate how the classroom management motivated student's learning in Pingtung County elementary schools, to compare classroom management techniques among teachers of different background and learning motivation of high-grader’s of different background, and then to look into how the classroom management related to student learning motivation.
The sample was teachers and their students of the fifth-sixth grades in Pingtung County elementary schools in 2007. Research instruments included Chen Shih-Jung’s Elementary Classroom Management Scale (1998) and Huang Yu Wen’s Learning Motivation Scale (2004). 22 schools and 44 classes according to school district were selected by multi-stage sampling; then each class of high grades in those schools was randomly sampled, along with the teachers consequently. The survey returned 44 valid questionnaires from teachers, and 888 from students. Statistic methods of descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient in software (SPSS10.0) were employed to prove hypothesis.
The findings were:
1. The high-grade classroom management in Pingtung County elementary schools was in good condition.
2.The overall learning motivation of high-grade pupils in Pingtung County elementary
schools was in good condition.
3.The high-grade classroom management practiced by female teachers in Pingtung County elementary schools was superior to male teachers.
4.The high-grade classroom management in Pingtung County elementary schools was insignificantly corrected to teacher’s service year and school district.
5.The overall learning motivation of high-grade pupils in Pingtung County elementary schools was insignificantly correlated to gender, grade, and school district.
6.The high-grade classroom management in Pingtung County elementary schools was significantly correlated to student's learning motivation.
Suggestions and opinions were summed up according to the above findings for
scholastic administrations, teachers and future reference.
