Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 都市計劃研究所 === 96 === Owing to the “globalization” developed in later twentieth century, all principal cities in the world have been in a series of competition for becoming the pioneer among the world’s main cities in order to get huge economic benefits. As a result, the territory of urban research had brought forth studies concerning “global city/world city”. However, global-city studies usually over emphasize the development ability of urban innate and ignore the effect of multiple “spatial scalar” about global city governance. They also over emphasize the importance of “economy globalization” and ignore something very critical about the process of global city governance, such as “politics” and “party”. Therefore, this paper uses Taipei city as an example to demonstrate that global city studies should focus on the effect of multiple spatial scalar. Under the influence of democratization and localization, political circumstances like party ideology conflict and cross-strait politics relations happen due to the deep political effect on Taipei global city governance in our country. Finally, this paper focuses on 1994~2006 because our country suffered a huge change during this period, especially in open vote up in higher level, party alternation in power and adjust government organization, all of which would prove that “party” plays an important role in process of global city government.
