Compared and analyzed four different versions of the health textbooks from 7th to 9th grade approved by the Ministry of Education. The contents of life education are: “the contents of teaching materials” and “life education instructional model.” This study has gathered statistics of categories which imply life education, analyzed and compared the distribution and diversities within. The research results are listed as follow: 1. Physical and health aspect occupies the most categories in the teaching material of life education in the health textbooks of middle school; Death education aspect is relatively lack in the teaching materials. 2. The sub-categories of life education in different versions of textbooks have showed similar percentage. 3. Life education is dis-appropriately distributed in the each volume of textbooks of different versions. 4. Life education instructional model has not been a popular focus and is only 25% presented in the text book. Finally, suggestions are proposed according to the research results: 1. The sub-categories of life education teaching materials should be distributed to the textbooks equally. 2. Emphasize the life education instructional model, in order to achieve the completeness of the content of life education.
