The main purposes of my research are to understand the construction, images and influential factors of children’s perception. This study chose one specific class of second grade students of elementary school located in Taipei city. Through three month practice, some teaching activities evoked the children’s perception for their communities. These ways, including drawing, picturing, surveying with field trip, experience-sharing and discussion, singing and dancing, and filling in learning sheets, are easy to develop children’s multiple intelligences. The above research designs distinguished the children’s construction from the adults’ construction. Besides, participant observation, interviews, document analysis, and research diary were the research methods out of class. In the beginning, the children’s attitudes were indifferent and their images of the communities were vague. Gradually, they enjoyed the designed activities and became enthusiastic about the representation of their communities. The research results showed the images of children that included ‘different ranges of community cognition’, ‘diverse environmental perception’, ‘not all real things’, and ‘functional contents for communities’. The research also concluded the influential factors of ‘family’, ‘previous experiences’, ‘interests’, ‘values among peers’, ‘characteristics of the communities’ and ‘imagination’ to realize the children’s construction. The first and last factors above were more powerful. However, I hope it will be helpful to the teachers for the children’s education by the study results. 歐用生 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 234 zh-TW
