Abstract
Using the paradigm theory is my approach to the research. I analyze and study the words and deeds that the characters in the novel say and do on the basis of the text in "The legend of condor heroes'. The main purpose of the research is to analyze the text in one of Jin-Yong's most remarkable novels, The legend of condor heroes, and to find out the elements of 'Martial Arts Ethics' in the novel to expand the essence and meanings of the Oriental Martial Arts Ethics. The result of the research shows that there are some mutual elements between the invisible elements of martial arts ethics in the novel and Chinese tradition martial arts elements, which are 'kindness, chivalry, justice and honor, loyalty, bravery and trust.' The moral principles that Confucius and Mencius spread and practiced are the core values of the Confucian thoughts, and they exert a deep influence on the development of Chinese traditional society and the extensive Chinese martial arts. They are guidelines, particularly in the cultivation of moral ethics, to those who practice Chinese martial arts. Therefore, what Chinese martial arts pursue is not only mastering the fighting skills, but the state that will come into existence after the integration of mastering skills and cultivating martial arts ethics. Such a splendid thought established the main essence of Chinese martial arts, which advocates martial arts and the morality as well.
