The participants were recruited from nine boy’s volleyball teams and eight girl’s volleyball teams of national junior high school volleyball tournament in the school year of 2007. The mean age for the participants was 14.17±.88 years old. The study instruments include “Self-efficacy Questionnaire,” “Collective-efficacy Questionnaire,” “Group Environment Questionnaire,” “Athletic Burnout Questionnaire,” “Drop-out Intention Questionnaire.” After data collection, multiple-regression and path analysis were conducted to analyze the relationship. Main results were listed as below: 1. Both sub-dimensions in group cohesion, task-cohesion and social-cohesion, can positively predict collective-efficacy. 2. Both sub-dimensions in group cohesion, task-cohesion and social-cohesion, can negatively predict athletic burnout. Self-efficacy can negatively predict athletic burnout, too. 3. Self-efficacy can negatively predict drop-out intention. Athletic burnout can positively predict drop-out intention. 4. In the main effect, both task-cohesion and social-cohesion can positively predict collective-efficacy. Task-cohesion, social-cohesion, and self-efficacy can negatively predict athletic burnout. Self-efficacy can negatively predict drop-out intention and athletic burnout can positively predict drop-out intention. In the indirect effect, the relationship between task-cohesion, social-cohesion and drop-out intention was mediated by athletic burnout. The relationship between self-efficacy and drop-out intention was mediated by athletic burnout as well. Based on the theoretical constructs and the results from this study, practical implications and future research directions were proposed. Ying-Che Huang, Ph. D. 黃英哲 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 72 zh-TW |
