One-group pretest-posttest was used in the study. There were two 2nd-grade ODD children and six same age peers to participate the group. The group was conducted twice a week, 40 minutes per session, for a total of 16 sessions. In quantitative analysis, the two ODD children were repeatedly measured using the 「Self-Concept Scale」 at pre-treatment, post-treatment, and 4-week follow-up assessment time. The data were analyzed by analysis of Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The whole group process was videotaped and the target behaviors of both ODD children were analyzed in Single Subject Research. In qualitative description, the records were collected from the interviews of teachers, the video record data and teachers’ feedback sheets as the proof and supplements of the research results. The findings were as follow: 1. Group play with rules had neither instantly significant effects nor follow-up effects on the improvement of “physical self-concept”, “psychological self-concept”, “family self-concept”, “school self-concept”, “moral self-concept” and “overall self-concept” of ODD children. 2. There were significant decrease in the target behaviors of both ODD children through the group states. 3. From the results of teachers’ interviews, feedback sheets and the group process analysis , find that the group play with rules had improved on the self-concept and defiant behavior of the ODD children. At last, according the research results, suggestions are offered for children counselors and future research. Ying-Che Huang 黃英哲 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 171 zh-TW
