To research Book Two, consisting for one year and four months. The research information is collected by observation, in-depth interview, and document analysis. The method of the observation is to understand the process of editing textbooks by editors' team. The interview approach uses the semi-constructed content to inspect the exactness of the research data from the editorial members and teachers. The method of the document analysis is to collect the textbook editor's relevant data, including editor's plan, editor's manuscript, minutes, examination reports and the suggestion of teacher’s preview etc. This result of the study is enumerated as follows: First, the process of edit the Junior High School mathematics textbooks from the private publisher includes establish editor team, the content writing, coordination and typesetting, proofreading and printing, preview and revision, examination and revision again. Second, the problems which the publisher suffered in editing mathematics textbooks are enumerated as follows: Lack of the intercommunication among editors, cause the deficiency of the content. Since edit team was influenced by market orientation, result in the unbalance between ideal and fact. The unsteadiness of the education policy causes the editor's confusion. Textbooks screening comments were too indecisive to decipherment. The editors resigned cause of the pressure of editing textbooks. Third, the ways which the publisher solved in editing mathematics textbooks are enumerated as follows: Improve more interaction between editors. Edition of the textbooks should use preview to replace teaching and experiment. According to the above-mentioned results of research, this research finally provided some suggestions to educational authorities, private publishers, textbooks editors and for future research.
