description 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 心理與諮商學系碩士班 === 96 === This research mainly discusses domestic counselors’ orientation of ethical thinking (namely the orientation of justice, care and self ) under different professional ethics conflict situations (namely principle, role, responsibility and benefit conflict), and figures out how situational and personal factors influence the operation of the orientation of ethical thinking. The research is based on structural formula questionnaire survey and material collection method. The measure tool of the research is questionnaire on the orientation of ethical thinking developed by the researcher. There are about 550 copies delivered and 337 ones effectively received. Followings are some important findings to the question this research aimed to explore : 1.Domestic counselors’ collocations of the orientation of ethical thinking are constant and regular, presented in the model of using justice orientation the most , care orientation the second and self orientation the less. The three orientations that interlace in the ethical thinking process. 2.By examining five ways of ethical thinking, it’s found that when focusing on thinking concern, the counselors used justice orientation the most in the role conflict situation but used care orientation more in the other situations. However, under the problem-solving thinking model, the counselors, when facing principle and benefit conflict situations, used care orientation thinking the most, but they used justice orientation as frequently as care orientation. That is to say, the counselors use the care orientation quite often. 3.In the same plight, if the counselors use more orientation of self , the orientation of care and justice will come out less, and vice versa. The correlation is obvious especially in the situations of conflicting principles and conflicting roles. 4.In the situations of principle and responsibility conflict, in which the problem of dilemma causes a more high degree of possible injury, the counselors used more care and justice orientation ethical thinking and less self orientation than in the other situations. Nevertheless, in the role conflict situation, in which the problem of dilemma causes a less low degree of possible injury, the counselors used less care and justice orientation ethical thinking and more self orientation than in the other situations. The situational factors that affect counselors’ ways of ethical orientation thinking includes the trait of situational dilemma, and a more important factor which have consciousness of the degree of possible injury in the dilemma. 5.In the principle and benefit conflict situations, the sex of the counselors has a little effect in the correlation of the degree of possible injury caused by the dilemma and the use of ethical orientation thinking. However, owning the certificate or not don’t have obvious influence on the counselors’ orientation of ethical thinking. Thus the conclusions of the research are as following: 1.The three orientation do coexist in the counselors’ professional ethical thinking. 2.The ranks of the use of counselors’ ethical thinking are justice orientation the most , care orientation the second and self orientation the less. 3.Under refined ethical thinking level, the counselors obviously intended to use care orientation thinking. 4.There are growth an decline in the counselors’ use of self, care and justice. 5.The trait of situation has obvious effect on the counselors’ use of different ethical thinking orientation. 6.The personality of the counselors don’t have common or obvious influence on their use of different ethical thinking orientation. Following is the advice from the research: 1.Advice for the counselors:(1)Use active professional ethical thinking in counseling situations.(2)Train yourself for the plural ability of ethical thinking through practicing experiences.(3)Perceive deeply the influence of value in the process of ethical thinking.(4)Establish personal professional ground by introspecting and arguing. 2.Advice for the training of counseling professional ethics:(1)Counseling ethics should be an independent compulsory course in the curriculum.(2)There should be a platform for the practice of ethical thinking between schools and correlated societies. 3.Advice for the development of researches on professional ethics:(1)Develop the researches of dynamic analysis on the process of ethical thinking and ethical decision-making.(2) Develop the researches on counseling professional ethics from localized situations.
